Sergio de La Vega


Sergio spent 20 years at Glencore as a products trader, business developer and head of the Latin America Group. He is the current Chairman and President of Gulf Oil Mexico and head of the Vertical Group which is involved in energy services, technology development, data mining, data processing, and the development of IP for other fuel retailers. He is currently a board member of both Ecuador and Banorte Bank in Mexico. He led the acquisition of Citizens Resources in 2017.

Todd O'Malley

President & CEO

Todd brings a wealth of private equity, trading, capital markets, operations, and management expertise in the energy and renewable sectors to his role at Citizens. Prior to joining Citizens in 2020, Todd served as a special advisor to a number of private equity and public company CEO's and boards regarding corporate strategy, M&A/divestment, financial structuring, and commercial optimization. He has previously held C Suite positions at Gulf Oil (EVP and Chief Commerical Officer), PBF Logistics (President), and PBF Energy (SVP and Chief Commercial Officer). He has also worked extensively in the investment banking, hedge fund, and electric and natural gas sectors. Todd holds undergraduate degrees in Geology, French, and business from Colgate University (Cum Laude) and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Jenny Herles

Jenny's commodities career began in logistics and operations at Louis Dreyfus and continued into finance at Noble Americas, where she took responsibility for the LATAM portfolio. She was then the Assistant Treasurer and Head of Trade Finance at Glencore. She recently spent time at Engelhart Commodities as Head of Treasury and Trade Finance for the Americas. She joined Citizens Resources in 2018.

Enrico is a driven and entrepreneurial skilled senior executive with extensive experience in luxury goods, yachting, automotive and real estate industries. He has covered different management roles within Europe and the Americas. Enrico is a results-oriented leader with strategic focus on sourcing, implementing and delivering business opportunities. He brings team building and management skills to effectively communicate and execute strategies. Enrico has comprehensive knowledge in brand exclusivity and products placement.

Philip Leahy

Special Advisor to the Board

Philip's career started as an engineer at the Shell Stanlow oil refinery in the UK. Prior to joining the company he was the trading manager for the state oil company of Ireland (INPC) where he was responsible for crude purchases and product sales for the Whitegate refinery. He joined Citizens Resources in 1990 and has developed product business in Venezuela, Ireland, South Africa and the US Domestic Market.

Samuel Carpenter

Business Development

Sam started his career with Caltex as an engineer in their Bahrain refinery and then worked in their supply groups in Dallas & Sydney.  After managing crude supply for the Come-by-Chance (Newfoundland) refinery for Cumberland, he became VP of Crude Supply & Trading for Tosco’s East Coast US system.  Sam went on to lead Glencore’s America’s crude trading book.  In 2017 Sam received his Masters in Sustainability from Harvard and joined Citizens in 2018 to focus on renewable energy project development.

Gene Grabinski

Business Development

Gene Grabinski has been in the petroleum industry for 38 years. He worked the majority of the time for BP and Amoco and was involved in the supply and trading of both US domestic and international crude oil. He also worked at Mercuria Energy Trading and ENI Supply & Trading on the crude oil side. He has extensive experience in crude oil supply and logistics and joined with Citizens Resources in 2018 to aid in the expansion of their crude oil business.

Anne Summers

Business Development

Anne's career began at Cargill as an operations coordinator for the petrochemical business and then as operations coordinator in crude oil trading. This led her to become a trader in the early 80's before moving to Morgan Stanley, where she remained for 30+ years. She was instrumental in building their physical crude oil business, trading both paper swaps, futures and physical oil. She developed profitable trading strategies for West African and North Sea crude oil and was involved in coordinating shipping logistics and collaborating with the freight department. Anne is a C.W. post graduate and joined Citizens Resources in 2018 to aid in the expansion of their crude oil business.
